The 2022 Miami World Series was held November 11-13 at various high schools in Miami-Dade County. This blog post serves to recognize the best uncommitted players--at the time of this event--I watched while scouting the event.

This is my "Top 5" from the 2022 Miami World Series:

1. ('25,FL) RHP/OF Christopher Sosa of Mater Academy

6'5" 195lbs. Very athletic for his size as a HS sophomore. Got up to 89 with a bit of velo still there. Had a BB for strikes at 70. Chris also went yard with a moon shot to the pull side on Saturday.

2. ('23,FL) RHP Marlin Takovich of 5 Star Key West

6' 170lbs. FB got up to 92 with a breaker at 81. Came into relief on Saturday and was up to 91. Hard to come by this type of uncommitted velo in the 2023 class at this time. Marlin should be a target for schools still looking for 2023 impact arms.

3. **IRSC COMMIT**('23,FL) RHP Andris Barroso of 5 Star Key West

6'6" 195lbs. There wasn't much time after the Miami World Series that Andris remained uncommitted; his Twitter post--embedded above--drew over 12k views in less than 2 days. The special low to mid 8s sidearmer plans to go the JUCO route at The River. 

4. ('24,FL) RHP Anthony Lariz of 5 Star Key West

6'3" 200lbs. Fun watch at the Miami World Series. Attacked hitters with FB up; got up to 89. Offered working secondaries and has plenty of upside going into his HS junior spring.

5. ('24,FL) OF Ryan Valdes of Braddock

5’10” 160lbs. Difference maker from CF and helped lock up a game and get a W with his range. Swing played as well; Ryan notched a couple barrels this past week.
