Matthew Bliven Joins PS as the Senior V.P. of Event Management and Marketing

Prospect Select Baseball is excited to welcome Matthew Bliven to our team. With over a decade of experience in operating prestigious national tournaments and developing, marketing, and branding new company initiatives, Bliven’s role as Senior Vice President of Event Management and Marketing will continue to bolster the reputation and success of Prospect Select.

As an experienced and widely respected leader in the industry, Bliven will assume the responsibilities of acquiring new partnerships, managing existing partner relationships, enabling mutually beneficial co-marketing strategies, while also impacting the execution and operations of all current and future Prospect Select initiatives.

"We are thrilled to add Bliv to the Prospect Select team. When you have the opportunity to add someone with as much high level experience as he brings it’s a no doubter! As accomplished as he is in the baseball space, he’s a better person that will help us carry out our events with honesty and integrity. Look for him to make a big splash with Prospect Select immediately in the Summer of 23,” according to Prospect Select President, Jeremy Plexico.

Bliven comes to Prospect Select after stops from a multitude of industry leaders in the amateur baseball space. He started his career at Perfect Game in 2011, where early on, he led the effort to increase awareness on the West Coast as the Western Tournament Director. Eventually, Matthew was elevated to the role of National Tournament Director and managed the most highly regarded events on the PG National schedule.

In 2016, Bliven continued his career with the start of Wilson Premier Baseball, where he created and developed a new tournament series, consisting of some of the top travel organizations in the country. These tournaments were hallmark experiences for travel ball teams, buttoned up, and always loaded with talent.

Most recently, Matthew worked with Prep Baseball Report Tournaments where he led a collaborative effort to rebrand PBR Tournaments into a premium event experience for players, coaches, scouts, and parents.

Now, Bliven brings his wealth of experience and expertise to continue Prospect Select’s pursuit of providing organized, highest-quality, and best-in-class experiences, operated with honesty and integrity.

“At this point in my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with and connect with such a large network in the baseball community. Each of my experiences and challenges has been used as a learning opportunity. I’ve always admired Prospect Select from afar, but the connection with this team was instantly welcoming,” said Bliven. “I knew it was where I could continue my passions, beliefs, and mission to grow the game of baseball. I am thrilled to be part of the Prospect Select team and look forward to doing my part to move the company even further.”
