Hayes McGrath RHP (‘30,IA)

Hayes McGrath, a 2030 RHP from Cedar Rapids Reds 13u, at the plate uses an open stance with a small leg lift to work gap to gap. On the mound he has a simple and repeatable delivery working out of a H ¾ arm slot. FB got up to 74 paired with a sharp CB T65 and a changeup with good depth at 67. Projectable athlete with room to grow in the box and on the mound as he progresses his strength.

Devin Hernandez C (‘30,IA)

Devin Hernandez, 2030 C from Canes Iowa 13u-Palazzo, strong frame with an above average swing for his age. Controls his load with a high leg kick and allows his hands to stay back and fire to meet the ball out front with an uphill finish. Showed off his raw power hitting a no doubt HR to left field for a GS. Extremely polished player in the box and behind the dish with tons of upside as he continues to develop and mature. High ceiling player to follow in the 2030 class. 

Hudson Curtin CF (‘30,IA)

Hudson Curtin, a 2030 OF from Canes Iowa 13u-Palazzo, lanky frame at 5’11 140lb. Quiet load and keeps the barrel in the zone through contact generating good extension. Displays above average bat to ball skills making him a tough out at the plate, posting 3 quality at bats on the day with 2 hits. Projectable player with room to grow as he matures into his frame. Good player to follow in the 2030 class.

Jordan Palazzo UTL (‘30,IA)

Jordan Palazzo, a 2030 UTL player from Canes Iowa 13u-Palazzo, small leg lift keeping his hands high working down through the zone to create consistent backspin. Hits the ball out front maximizing his power to all parts of the field. Tallied 3 hits on day with one being a ground-rule double to LF. Good follow in the 2030 class.

Sam Baker C (‘30,IA)

Sam Baker, a 2030 C from Canes Iowa 13u-Sandin, athletic framed player at 5’8 132lb had a multi hit day and showed off his power with a 3-run HR to RCF. Simple load with a small toe tap that allows for him to be on time for a FB. Consistently finds barrels using a level bat path. More juice to come as he matures into his frame. Excellent player to follow in the 2030 class.

Arthur Leong (‘30,IA)

Arthur Leong, a 2030 RHH from Iowa Prospects Blue 13u, lanky framed player at 5’10 150lbs, uses a simple load and flat bat path that generates good extension through the zone. Displayed his power with 3 home runs on the first day of the tournament. Highly projectable player with room to develop more power as his strength matures. Good athlete to follow in the  2030 class.

Hayden Porter C/UTL (‘29,IA)

Hayden Porter, a 2029 C/UTL for Iowa Sticks HS Prep Black, athletic frame at 5’10 165 lb. Great feel for the barrel producing consistent barrels with above average bat to balls skills. Likes to work backside keeping his hands inside the ball and working to RF. Showed a good arm behind the plate throwing out multiple runners. Projectable player that will continue to progress.

Tyler Miskowicz RHP (‘30,IA)

Tyler Miskowicz, a 2030 RHP from Mash National 13u Black, lanky framed player at 5’11 150lb working out of a ¾ arm slot and falls off to 1B. Utilizes the lower half to get downhill with a quick arm action. FB T79 with a sharp CB that ran up to 69 and a deceptive change at 69. Threw 7 innings giving up 2 hits allowing 1ER and striking out 8 batters. Watch for a velo bump to come as he progresses his strength. Projectable player in the 2030 class.

Briggs Wilson SS/RHP (‘29,MN)

Briggs Wilson, a 2029 player from Canes Iowa 14u-Tate, athletic framed player at 5’10 155lb, worked out of a sidearm arm slot with a funky and violent delivery. Generates velocity from his lower half coiling the body around the backside before exploding with his back leg. Ran the FB up to 79 paired with an up & down CB at 68. High Ceiling RHP in the 2029 class with more velo to come as he matures in his frame.

Brody Blegen LHP (‘29,IA)

Brody Blegen, a 2029 LHP from Canes Iowa 14u-Tate, projectable framed player at 6’1 works out of a L ¾ arm slot. Repeatable delivery that looks effortless. Worked a 2-pitch mix of FB/CB attacking hitters early with the FB getting it up to 78 and CB up to 69. Hides the ball well keeping the hitters guessing at the plate. High upside LHP with a velo bump to come as he progresses his strength. Impressive player to follow in the 2029 class.
