The uncommitted southpaw showed off a great 3 pitch mix in his bullpen today. Had a FB that topped at 87, SL at 73 with lots of run and a CH at 77. Overall a great bullpen for Montrowl showing off his elite stuff. Very tall lanky frame with lots of potential.

Our first athlete of the day came out with a solid 7 flat 60 yard dash. That’s where he first impressed as he showcased good speed that is bound to improve under a college level strength program. At the play his swing was liquid smooth. The legs kept him strong and he let the hips bring the hands into position topping 97EV for the session.

The most impressive arm at the showcase yesterday. He lit up the radar gun topping a smooth effortless 92. The delivery looked poised and compact allowing his arm to get into position and just release through the ball. He started at 88 and with each pitch kept creeping up towards 90 eventually sitting right at it. I can’t say enough about how clean his delivery is, the is minimal risk for arm troubles as he’s not going full effort each pitch allowing the lower half to do the work. You can teach a guy to throw harder, but when one comes along that has natural feel for it, a coach is in for a treat.

A lanky SS standing at 6’0 but showcasing the hands and coordination of someone a bit more compacted. He impressed at his position where he made the simple plays look easy. The glove work was straight to the point without any frill and he even topped out at 78 from his position which was second among the athletes on the day. He also flashed a bit of speed capping his performance with a 6.98 60.
