In the OF, he showed off the arm with an OF velo of 79. He also looked smooth in the infield, with clean footwork and an above average arm across the diamond. In his rounds of BP, he consistently hit line drives to the OF with ease, and definitely looked comfortable in the box. He stayed busy all day, but it was an impressive outing for Wallace. Gage Roof RHP (‘26,FL) • View Player Profile
Gage Roof had one of the best days on the mound at the Vipers Scout Day. Roof was the hardest thrower of the day, running his FB up to 85 and sitting 83/84. Although he threw hard, what was most impressive was his command. His entire bullpen, he consistently threw each of his pitches for strikes, featuring a FB, CB, and CH. This three pitch mix paired very well and he looked very comfortable with each pitch. Really impressive day from the 2026 righty. He is currently uncommitted.
