Vazquez Jr. had a strong showing in today's showcase action, impressing in every event he took part in. He began the day with a 6.94 60, where he utilized his long strides to quickly cover ground. While participating in outfield drills he showed off his cannon of an arm, providing a low accurate throw to the catcher each time. By minimizing the steps in his throw, he is able to get the ball out of his hand and to the catcher must faster than many of his contemporaries. At the plate, he used a compact and punchy to generate easy power. He was able to reach exit velocities of 95 off the bat. Projectable size at 6'1, 190. Currently uncommitted.

Solid middle infielder that holds down the premium position of shortstop with confidence. Showing out in today’s showcase both defensively taking groundballs and in his rounds of BP. In the field, he reads the ball off the bat and the hops well, and finishes with a good shuffle and an easy smooth throw to first. His rounds of BP were fun to watch as he launched baseballs all over the field with good exit velocities and creating solid launch angles. He loads up and the hands are explosive through the zone as he unloads and gets a max EV of 94 off the bat. Currently uncommitted.

Doesn’t have the biggest frame coming in at 5’11, but gets the most out of his size as displayed during his bullpen in today’s showcase. Looked solid with a clean, smooth, repeatable delivery and worked well downhill with an over-the-top arm slot. The lively and powerful fastball popped the glove consistently in the upper 80’s, and reached as high as 88 mph. Best secondary pitch is the changeup that provides good change of pace, and drops off the table with lots of fade at 71 mph. He is uncommitted at this time.

Standout shortstop in the class of 2025. Put his skills on display and had a solid showcase day all around in the field and during BP. Looked very natural at the premium position of shortstop - doing a nice job of getting around the ball and setting himself up to field groundballs cleanly. He has a very quick transfer from glove to hand and releases throws with good zip on a line to first base. A solid hitter during BP as well. Produced powerful swings in a very clean and smooth fashion. Good loft in the swing that induced solid carry into the outfield at a max exit velo of 85 off the bat. Overall, a really good performance day for the athletic middle infielder. Uncommitted.

Really athletic build with a lot of strength on display. Really good barrel control throughout the duration of his swing and a lot of power to go with it. He had a quiet and simple load with an explosive bat and utilized his lower half consistently throughout BP, notching a 90.3 EV. From the outfield he looked very fluid, he got some quick transfers from the grass and touched 84mph on his throws to the plate. Uncommitted at this time.

Strong lefty hitter that was also solid behind the plate in today’s showcase. He had a good rhythm in the box, easy load yet quick and explosive to contact. Extends his barrel out well and can hit all 9 zones with a lot of power, smooth swing overall. Showcased a couple balls going over 90mph off the bat, touched a 92.1 EV. Behind the dish, he had good receiving in the bullpens and blocked well to complement it. Quick arm with average pop time. Uncommitted at this time.

Alan Janiel De La Cruz Sunrun OF (‘27,FL)
Lengthy outfielder that displayed a lot of consistency at the showcase. In the outfield, he displayed a strong and accurate arm topping out at 87mph on throws to home. Sees the ball into the glove well and flashed a quick transfer. Offensively, he hits for a lot of power but also has speed to him around the bases. Has a very rhythmic load and his barrel comes with a lot of pop, uses his lower half pretty well in his swing. Room to add strength but overall a lot of power and explosive movements. Uncommitted at this time.

Good performance in the bullpen today and can also swing the bat well. On the mound, he’s solid with a FB topping at 79mph and also throws a good CB and CH that will mix up hitters. Smooth infielder with good reads off the bat and fluid mechanics. Displayed a strong arm across the diamond. Simple load in the box with a quick barrel throughout his swing, generates an ample amount of power. Slender frame with room the add strength, lots of raw power on both sides of the ball with ease. Uncommitted at this time.
