DAY 1
Omar Falcon C ('26,FL) •
View Player Profile
Falcon was a dominant force behind the dish today, effectively controlling the run game and operating as a brick wall behind home plate. He does a great job of getting up out of his crouch quickly and putting himself in an athletic position to make the throw to second. Once he was there, all he had to do was rely on his powerful arm to make the throw down. Omar also possessed all of the intangibles you look for in a catcher, being a vocal leader for his defense. Good size at 5'11 180 that projects well. Currently uncommitted.

Althouse set the tone early in today's action, throwing out the first base runner he saw and deterring future base stealers. Did a great job receiving the low and outside pitch, and quickly readjusting himself to an athletic throwing position. He was then able to place the right above second base on the runners side to secure the out. With good size at 5'11, 150, Nicholas is an intriguing prospect to watch progress. Currently uncommitted.

Rey Sibilly 3B ('27,FL) •

Sibilly had an impressive showing in todays tournament opener, providing value as both a hitter and pitcher. As a hitter, Rey opened up the scoring for his team with a line drive single through the 5/6 hole. He was able to use his big leg kick as a timing mechanism, and as a way to initiate the trunk rotation necessary to make good contact. He later came into the game in a closer role, shutting down the opposition with his 75-77 fastball. Slender 5'10, 145 frame that projects favorable with added muscle to increase both pitch velocity and swing power. Currently uncommitted.

Colon Jr. was a crafty lefty that did a great job at keeping bats in check, helping lead his team to victory in their tournament opener. His sidearm delivery generated good sink on his 70-72 fastball, which led to hitters consistently swinging over the pitch. He paired this fastball with a curveball offering that that he was able to consistently locate in the bottom half of the zone. Ability to work efficiently and go deep into games, putting minimal stress on his arm. Slender frame at 5'9, 145 that projects well with added muscle. Uncommitted.

Jackson Orth
3B ('27,OH)
Orth displayed an ability to mash the baseball in today's tournament play, reaching one of the highest exit velocities on a batted ball recorded. Loads up well with a slide step, and turns on the baseball with an aggressive swing and quick movements. His fly ball carried 300 feet to right center, which was more than enough to allow the runner to score from third. At 5'10, 155, Jackson could be even more effective with added muscle to help will these baseballs a couple more feet and over the fence. Currently uncommitted.

Diaz was a dominant force at the plate today, going 3/3 with a double. Sees the ball exceptionally well, and is able to get to all pitches with his compact swing. Does a good job of keeping his weight back, and then uncoiling his body on the swing. As the ultimate sign of respect, he drew an intentional walk on his last plate appearance after his dominant performance. Behind the dish, Jason works hard and does a good job of keeping runners in check. Currently uncommitted.

Ferro was exceptionally smooth in everything he did in todays tournament play. Defensively, he did a great job holding it down from the shortstop position. Displayed great footwork which allowed him to play at his own pace and not rush an errant throw. At the plate, he did a good job of driving the baseball into gaps. Rotates well and stays quick through the zone. Slight build at 5'8 135 that projects well with growth. Uncommitted.

Ollervidas was a steady presence on the mound, helping lead his team to victory in their tournament opener. A natural feel on the mound, he was able to effectively spot his 75-77 fastball to devastating effect. He was also able to pair this pitch with a curveball which sat at 63-65 and served as a complimentary piece. Ability to go deep into games, as he pitched into the fourth inning while only giving up one run. 5'7 140 frame with high growth potential. Currently uncommitted.

Rottino had one of the gutsiest performances in today's slate of games, going the distance while only allowing one run. Without incredibly overpowering stuff, he was able to spot his pitches well and put his teammates in positions to succeed. His fastball sat 67-69, with a curveball offering at 55-57. Another key to his success was his ability to hold baserunners, which he showcased by picking off a runner at second. Small frame at 5'3 110 that provides potential as he continues to develop. Alex Gutierrez RHP ('29,FL) •

Gutierrez was an intriguing prospect from today's tournament play. His 75-77 fastball was one of the hardest pitches in his age group, and he was able to locate it at times to devastating effect. However, he also displayed qualities of being a raw prospect. At times his control slipped away and he was not able to rely on a secondary pitch the way that a more seasoned pitcher can. Although, as a 2029 grad, he has all of the time in the world to rectify these issues and hone his talent. 5'7 125. Uncommitted.

Frank Agate C (‘28,FL)
Catcher and 3 hole hitter for Diamondbacks Scout Team 2028. An absolute slugger in the lineup and does big damage at the plate. Makes good contact getting the barrel to the ball in all of his plate appearances. Produces runs at a high clip and is a big piece of his team’s offense. High-caliber hitter that brings intensity and good plate presence. Coaches visibly game-plan for his at bats, leading to a mound visit for the opposing team prior to his 2nd at bat that resulted in an RBI 2B 1B in first AB. Ultimately there is no game-plan against him as he is going to beat you in many ways. Finished his day with 2 big hits completing half the cycle with a single and double. Lots of room to grow, add muscle, and subsequently add more power to the already impressive slugger.

Ryan Cecilione 1B (‘28,NJ)
Corner infielder and middle of the order bat for the New Jersey Marlins. Built big and burly and hits baseball hard. Gets the foot down with a clean, level swing and is on time. Doesn’t try to do too much up at the plate as he has a simple approach of just trying to hit the ball right back up the middle. Did this to a tee as he ripped a 3rd inning single up the middle, splitting the middle infielders for a hard base knock. Also came in relief, pitched 1 inning, and topped out at 67 mph on the mound. Has the chance to develop into an impactful power slugger at the plate with the added ability to eat up innings on the bump.

A dominant outing and performance from the Orlando Scorpions RHP on the mound today. It was quite a sight to see. Getting the starting nod, he pitched to the tune of 3 perfect innings racking up 6 strikeouts with the other 3 outs recorded being weak contact groundball outs. Filled up the zone and was in command of both of his pitches. The fastball sat mid-to-upper 70’s and touched 80 mph. He offset the fastball with a nasty curveball with good shape to it that he could flip into the zone in any count with ease. Worked efficiently, not wasting any pitches and went after hitters. A really fun pitcher to watch his craft and just absolutely dominate the competition. Currently standing 5’10, there should be some more growth in the frame and with it, some added velocity in the coming years.

A gem of an outing on the mound for the young RHP for the Explorers. Pitched with confidence and poise against a very talented opponent, and left them rattled at the plate. Getting the starting nod, he pitched a spectacular scoreless 3 innings and racked up a whopping 7 strikeouts. Doing most of the heavy lifting, he relied heavily on his fastball that was up to 70 with lots of movement. Flashed the curveball at 61 sparingly, but picked the right moments and used the pitch effectively. Locates pitches really well and has good feel for pitching. Attacks hitters and trusts his stuff in the zone. Though it’s not overpowering stuff, every pitch is a competitive pitch. Methodical in his delivery with an easy and smooth motion. Overall, pitched to his strengths and mixed up timing and delivery to the plate, leaving hitters unbalanced. Tons of room to grow and continue to add velocity.

Coming in at a solid 6 foot even, there is a lot to like about the corner infielder for the Orlando Scorpions. Brings good physicality into the box with every plate appearance. Locks in, battles at the plate, and is a balanced hitter that can hit the ball where it’s pitched. A run-producing middle-of-the-order bat that delivers in clutch situations when his team needs him the most. Delivered a big RBI single to the opposite field in the 5th inning to get the scoring started for his team and cut the deficit to 2 runs. Keeps the head down and has the ability make solid contact on inside out swings. Projects well with his size and should continue to add to the frame as he grows and develops.

Manning the hot corner for the Florida Dirtbags, he plays loose and brings a positive energy with a quiet confidence to the field. In a low-scoring game, Jackson was a bright spot with his consistent barrel contact and ability to manipulate his bat path in accordance with the pitch. Squared up baseballs in each at bat coming away and eventually being rewarded with a hard-hit line drive base knock to center field. A significant weight shift, gets on his back leg and uses that momentum coming forward to generate some good thump into the swing. Put this skill on display in his 1st at bat of the day coming to the plate with a man on 2nd and took advantage of the opportunity to drive in the opening run of the game. DAY 2
Derek Thoms C ('28,NJ)
Thoms was the ultimate team player in today's game, filling whatever role his team needed him in. Starting the game at DH, he was pulled behind the plate when the starting backstop went down. He looked extremely comfortable in his new role, blocking pitches and mowing down runners. These new duties did not stop him from finding success at the plate, (write abt something he did). Room for growth at 5'5 125. Uncommitted.
Adrian Diaz de Villegas RHP ('27,FL) •

Diaz de Villegas was a dominant force on the mound in todays game, tossing five shutout innings in todays game. He was able to accomplish this thanks to his lively fastball, which sat at 78-80 but was able to run up at 82 with accuracy. He paired this pitch with a slow curve, which did a good job of keeping hitters honest. Natural presence on the mound, with minimal drop off in velocity as the game progressed. Coming in at 6'3, 185, Adrian possesses a lanky frame that projects well at the next level. Currently uncommitted.

Ojeda threw a gem of a game in today's outing, tossing six scoreless and helping lead his team to a 2-1 victory. He was able to accomplish this primarily through his strong command on the mound, hitting his spots and coaxing hitters into weak contact. This approach allowed him to work efficiently, finishing multiple innings in under 15 pitches. Slight frame at 5'6, 135. Uncommitted.

Baez came through in the clutch for his team, delivering the go ahead run late in the game that ended up being the decider in today's contest. Does a good job of meeting the moment and not trying to do too much. With the infield pulled in, he kept the swing compact and just punched the ball back up the middle. Gets out of the box well and is speedy on the base path, getting into a rundown with a runner on third and keeping the defense occupied long enough for the run to score. Slight frame at 5'6, 130 that projects with growth. Uncommitted.

Novak was great on the mound, going three innings of no hit baseball to help his team secure the victory. He had a devastating two pitch mix, with a 74-76 fastball that topped at 77 and a frisbee slider at 64-66. The slider was a constant problem for the opposition, with hitters ducking out of the way of strikes. Does a good job of working at his own pace and keeping hitters uncomfortable, and is able to generate force with a violent rotation on the mound. Projectable size at 5'9 140. Currently uncommitted.

Displayed maturity in his willingness to fall on baseballs and block with his whole body. When the pitch is outside of this zone, he is adept at getting the glove out there and receiving the ball. Meier did a good job of showcasing his pitch mix in today's action. The righty from North Carolina displayed good command and a willingness to throw each of his three pitches. His primary offering was a fastball, which sat at 78-80. He was also able to mix in a changeup at 72-74 and curveball at 66-68. While the results did not fall his way today, the stuff is clearly there and definitely prevents big upside. Good size at 6' 190 that projects well at the next level. Currently uncommitted.

A defensive standout behind the plate for the Explorers. Eats up pitches in the dirt, solid pitch framer, and is a quiet leader handling his pitchers. Makes big plays with his glove and arm. His team relies on his defensive prowess to help keep them in games and he delivers in the clutch. The arm really stands out as it’s very accurate and can make all the throws. Combining the clutch gene with the arm talent, he was able to throw a dime down to 2B and catch a key potential base-stealer in the 1-run game, killing any potential for a rally in the middle innings. Hits the ball hard at the plate as well, but just got unlucky in that he hit it right at defenders that resulted in hard-hit outs. The 5-hole hitter for the West Boynton Cobras can do a little bit of everything and brings a good offensive profile to the field. Has a pure left-handed swing with smooth actions in the box. Across 2 games, he showed his offensive prowess as a run-producing, middle-of-the-order bat. On the day, he had a 2 RBI single in a big spot late in the game in the first game. Added 2 more base hits in game two and showed off the wheels with a stolen base as well. Has a good eye at the plate and will take his fair share of walks. Catcher and cleanup hitter for Florida Elite Baseball. Stands out on both sides of the ball both in the box and behind the dish. Offensively he is a mainstay slugger with an aptitude for driving in runs. It’s a pure, natural smooth swing from the right side that generates effortless power and lift. Put this on display in his 1st plate appearance of the game clobbering an RBI 2B to deep left field with excellent carry all the way to the wall. Goes up to the plate with a plan in mind and doesn’t sell himself short, taking hard cuts with every swing. Good, natural rhythm in the box with a low center of gravity. Solid size for the New Jersey Marlins RHP checking in at 5’10 and is able to use his size effectively. Coming out firing early in the game, he looked strong on the mound with conviction in his pitches on both sides of the plate. He threw the fastball up to 76 mph with some sink and movement. Sparingly mixed in the breaking ball at 63 mph for show, but wasn’t necessarily a pitch he needed to rely on too heavily. Pitching 4 solid innings with 4 strikeouts with a simple, easy, repeatable motion. Ran into some trouble in his last inning, but was able to make adjustments and limit the damage to keep the game within striking distance.
