Committed Players, Draft Notes

Daniel Cuvet ('23,FL) Elite Squad) - Power hitting 3B from Elite Squad Academy with a relaxed, confident overall operation.. 6'4 220lbs, very coordinated at that size. Hands play defensively, has the hand/eye and arm to stick at 3B but would also serve as an above average 1B in the future as well. Present power in the box with the ability to lift, will take his knocks, knows when to let it loose and explode. Best word to describe Cuvet, "easy". Present power, arm strength (when needed), and hands at 3B. University of Miami commit.

Alfonsin Rosario ('23,SC) P27 Academy) - Rosario, a D.R. native in the 2023 class from P27 Academy. Absolutely loaded up with tools that will only continue to trend up.. Arm gets up to 100+ from the OF (plays in-game) halted multiple runners this past week. Natural pro-build at 6'2 215 with raw power that is in the discussion for best in the 2023 class. Absolutely torched some balls during game action against multiple 90+ arms. Prototypical RF with arm, power, and wheels.. Some rawness there, however Rosario has the present tools and power to be a high level prospect moving forward. Committed to power JC, Chipola College.

Chase Meyer ('23,NC) Combine Academy - Meyer has true swing and miss stuff, electric out of the hand.. Delivery is loose with good rhythm, longer arm action but naturally loads/unloads scaps which allows arm to work quick down the mound from an extended 3/4 slot. Meyer has a 3 pitch arsenal with flashes of true + to all 3, making it an elite mix when he is in the zone.. FB has life; got up to 96 this past week, BB is firm at 79-82 with big shape and consistently spins it at 3100+, Meyer also mixes in a power CH with intent at 84-85 with depth. West Virginia Commit.

Jai Sample ('23,MD) PRO 5 NC - Sample has made huge jumps over the last calendar year on the mound. Very athletic delivery and a ton of physical projection left, Sample is lean and twitchy with clean mechanics, expect more velo to come. Ran the FB up to 94 at this past week, spins the SL around 78-80, can turn the CH over with some firmness on it at 83-85. Fields his position well, excellent makeup. James Madison Commit.

George Baker ('23,MD) Pro5 NC - Poised LHH who is no stranger to the long-ball. Baker continued to show off a high-level hack this week, but his defensive abilities shined the most. True catch-throw tool is evident just by taking a glimpse of him checking it down in between innings from his knees--check the embedded tweet below. George also worked well with the PRO5 P staff; camaraderie was on full-display on the combined SO against Elite Squad.

Marcus Bradshaw ('23,VA) Pro5 VA - Switch hitting MIF from Prince George, VA.. Bradshaw showed a good motor with above average speed on both sides of the ball. Bursty speed on the bases, gets out of the box well from both sides.. Very solid defender; good first step, clean hands/quick release across from SS. Athlete that projects anywhere on the diamond, headed to JC power College of Central Florida.

Cam Nelson ('23,MD) Pro5 VA - Legitimate two-way with prolific tools on both sides of the ball that will play at the next level. Defensively, Nelson has an arm that will get up to 95+ with carry from the OF to 3B/HP. 6.4 runner, showed the ability to get quality reads off the bat in-game. Bat produced one of the top in-game exit velo's of the event at 94.66. On the mound, Nelson has electric stuff with a very athletic delivery. Longer AA, quick arm with excellent body awareness and rhythm. FB sat 90-94 with life, spun the BB at 77 w/2700rpms, turned over a firm CH at 85 with depth. Wake Forest commit.

Rodney Pena ('24,NJ) Citius Prep - Pena had a stellar outing at the Academy WS last week. Pounds the zone and goes right after hitters with a two pitch mix that work well off of each other. Simple operation overall, arm works quick from an OTT slot. FB got up to 92 with some ASR on it, not afraid to work in to RHH's, lives on the outer half early in counts. Showed a true out-pitch with the BB at 78-79 and 2900rpm, induced a ton of swing and miss in any count. University of Pittsburgh commit.

Edward Copper ('23,PA) P27 Academy - Copper worked from an extended mid 3/4 slot with intent to the delivery, creates a very tough AB for RHH's.. FB touched 92 (2300rpm) with above average command, worked at the knees mixed in/out well. Showed feel for a sharp SL with some firmness to it at 80-82. Good body, 6'2 205lbs with signs of present strength. South Carolina commit #Gamecocks

Jonah Condradt ('23,WI) P27 Academy - Condradt showed intense mound presence and offers with conviction. Present feel for a 3 pitch mix that may have been tops at the event. Hands work over the head out of the windup, poised until gather. Syncs up very well, glove side works effortlessly down the mound creating electric stuff. FB lived 90-92, T94 gets on guys quickly. Maintains AA on the BB at 78-80 with 2800rpms, firm w/tumble action, spins it for strikes and can bury it when ahead. Arkansas commit.

AJ Camp ('23,NC) Combine Academy - LHP from Combine Academy that went complete game shutout; 7IP, 1H, 13Ks. Paired a FB/BB combo that had hitters off balance all game. FB hovered around 88 with very good command and 2470 spin that makes it play harder. Landed the BB for strikes at 79-80 w/an average spin of 2580 out of the hand. Turned over a quality CH at 78. Wake Forest commit.

Justin Best ('23,NC) Combine Academy - Tall, lean LHH/OF with athletic actions and a high ceiling. 6'4 198lbs, ideal build for a LH/OF with easy actions gap to gap power. Has shown the ability to hit against quality Academy arms this spring boasting a .474 average. Runs well, 6.6 60YD, strides it out on the bases and in the OF. Big time arm defensively, up to 95 with the ability to cover ground. Florida State commit #Noles

Zaid Diaz ('23,FL) Elite Squad - Zaid Diaz is as natural of a LH swing you can find. Always seems to hit, takes his knocks and has the ability to barrel pitches all over the zone. 1 piece swing with excellent timing and rhythm, present power through the middle and to the pull-side when he gets a pitch to do damage with. Mans RF for Elite Squad Academy, very solid defender that makes the routine plays and will sell-out for the extra step in the OF. Hit first guy headed to JC powerhouse, Chipola College.

Ben Berisko ('23,FL) Elite Squad - Ben Berisko has continued to show big time feel for spin. Free and easy delivery that is fluent and flows well when right. Spins a frisbee SL that will creep up to 3000+ spin at times. Ran the FB up to 90 last week in Cary. Arm works across the body a bit but really creates spin for the SL that he lives off of. TN JC power, Dysersburg State commit

Gage Miller ('23,NC) - RHH/3B from Pro 5 NC. 6'3 210lb frame with a simple operation offensively. Easy trigger back while maintaining posture, loads the barrel prior to launch with a tight turn through the zone. Shows some quick hands here, turns on a pitch up in the zone for a no doubter to to LF. 92.6EV, 29.3VLA, 343'3 carry. Queens University commit.

Noah Murray ('23,VA) Pro5 NC - Really like Murray in the box. Active/aggressive looking to put the barrel on the ball. Early leg kick trigger with some knee to knob to it and some coil. Hands are in a spot to get to any pitch, works through the middle with above average hand/eye. Versatile defender, high OBP guy. Duke commit.

Luke Orfi ('23,GA) East Cobb Baseball - Very solid defensive SS that runs a sub 6.5 60YD and has an arm that will grab 90 from across the diamond.. Showed the ability to make the "wow" factor play from SS, ranged in to the 5/6 hole and got rid of it on the move to take away a hit. Has some juice at the plate with more to come, headed to perennial TN JC power Walters State.

Isais Oquendo ('23,FL) Central Pointe - 6'2 200lb RHP that competes in the zone consistently. Has natural ASR with the FB, has been up to 92, sits 87-91. Works in-line with home plate. Arm is quick, gets extended from a 3/4 slot. Eastern Florida State commit.

Uncommitted Prospects, College Notes

Mason Botbol ('23,NC) Pro5 NC - Botbol really added some stock to his name at the Academy WS. 6'4 LHP that is currently working his way back from TJ recovery. Deliberate mechanics that are repeatable, FB sat 85-86 with more in the tank. Showed feel for a CH, comes out of the hand well with with some fade on it. Currently uncommitted.

Andy Polanco ('24,FL) Central Pointe - One of the most projectable players at the Academy WS. Tall, lean RHH/OF with wiry strength at this time. Lombardese will be at TOPPS National on June 8th in Palm Beach this summer.

Jeylem Sepulveda ('24,NY) Citius Prep - 6'4 220lb CIF/RHP from the Bronx, NY. Sepulveda brings a lot to the table on both sides of the ball. Positionally, Sepulveda profiles on the corners, currently a solid defender at both 1B/3B but has the arm strength and bat to move to LF or RF in the future. Free swinger in the box; big swing with intent, some natural lift to the path. Has true raw power when he connects.. Fun to watch on the mound, mound presence with body awareness at 6'4/220. Trevor Eastman ('24,NY) Citius Prep - One the most intriguing prospects at the Academy WS.. Eastman is a primary LHH/OF from Yonkers, NY with raw, untapped tools that will should get some coaches excited. Overall, Eastman will need to add some polish moving forward but has the actions and ability to be a guy. Twitchy/natural strength and speed. Has an extremely loose arm, ball jumps out of the hand from the OF and on the mound, arm has a chance to be above average in any capacity. Runs well, sub 7 60YD, rigid on the bases but still motors around the diamond. Bat is raw but has the athletic ability to find barrel to all fields. Huge upside guy if everything clicks. Uncommitted, recently confirmed to attend TOPPS National on June 8th.

Cruised his way to a complete game-shutout with a ton of swing and miss. Relatively low-effort delivery, arm works from an extended 3/4 slot.
