Steel Gately 2021 RHP (Vero Beach HS)

Gately is a 6’3 RHP out of Vero Beach.. A bit of an under the radar type guy but showed well last night against a very good Martin County lineup.. Gately has a lanky frame with clean, and simple AA, repeats the delivery well and showed the ability to spin a solid SL with horizontal break. FB was primarily 83-85 T86 for Gately. Intriguing arm to check out!

Billy Reid 2022 OF (Palm Beach Gardens)

Billy Reid has been very impressive so far this spring.. Hitting in a very deep Palm Beach Gardens lineup, Reid continues to show off a simple approach and stay through the middle of the field. Have seen Reid handle velo with no problem. Leadoff type bat that plays with some fire. A bit undersized but has athletic actions and a ton of feel for the barrel. Busts RHHs in and produces a lot of uncomfortable swings. Works both sides of the plate with AA command. Compliments his FB with a slurvey breaking ball that he effectively works in the bottom portions of the zone when up in the count, serves as a solid strikeout pitch for him. Raper works his FB 81-84 T:85 in the lower portions of the zone with sink and ASR, with AA command. Compliments his FB with a tight late breaking SL. Has shown the ability to locate the pitch for strikes, primarily uses it up in the count as a swing and miss strikeout pitch. Medium frame with room to grow.

Elmer Figeroua 2022 1B ( Central Point Academy)

Figueroa has a large strong 6-2 220 lb frame. Quiet controlled stride, gets on plane early with solid bat speed working through the ball. Andrews is a solid RHP with an upper 80s FB that occasionally will touch 90.. Andrews boasts a projectable frame at 6’3” 195.. Simple delivery with an OTT arm slot, creates some downhill action for himself. Andrews featured two breaking balls last week, a harder SL with horizontal break and also a softer CB with more vertical break.

Michael Marrero 2021 RHP/OF (Central Pointe Academy)

Marrero is an athletic two way from Central Pointe Academy in Kissimmee, FL.. Got the chance to see Marrero throw last week against a solid John Carrol team. Marrero has short AA, with some life to FB at 85-87 with some sink/run in to RHH’s… Marrero works to keep the arm above the belt on the arm swing, maintains AA when going to his SL which has tight spin and is a solid out pitch for him.

Video: https://twitter.com/Brando_PS/status/1366895460745678849

Video: https://twitter.com/Brando_PS/status/1369103970841620481

Louis Paolillo 2022 CIF (Cardinal Newman)

Louis Paolillo is a big time bat to follow… I love the swing out of Paolillo, not dropping a full on player-comp but the swing has some similarities to Kris Bryant, the setup and bat path are very similar in my opinion. Paolillo has clearly added a ton of physicality since the summer of 2020, looks the part, continues to add strength which translates to some very loud, in-game contact. Paolillo will be at #TOPPSNational on June 8th.

Video: https://twitter.com/Brando_PS/status/1369108063454720004

Very handsy swing, looks to get the barrel on time, looks to do damage every AB.. Prime example of the “yes, yes, yes, no” approach, always ready to pull the trigger… Feliz will also be at #TOPPSNational on June 8th this summer.

Video:https://twitter.com/Brando_PS/status/1369109242834194432

Video: https://twitter.com/Brando_PS/status/1369443118236438535

Tyler Johnson 2023 MIF (Jupiter HS)

Tyler Johnson is a very smooth, young middle infielder from Jupiter HS.. Game comes to easy to Johnson, really low effort guy with high productivity on the defensive side of the ball. Johnson ranges well to his right and left, really plays the hop and lets the hands work. Quick release from down low, but can also show off the arm across the diamond when needed, have seen the arm up to 87 from SS. At the plate, Johnson can afford to add some strength but currently has a solid approach, early load, looks to get the barrel on plane and stays through the middle of the field. Johnson is another solid INF that will be at #TOPPSNational on June 8th this summer.

Video: https://twitter.com/Brando_PS/status/1369451261075001350

Aedan Anderson 2022 MIF (Dr. Phillips)

AA arm has accurate throws across the diamond, extremely quick transfer from glove to throwing arm. Scrappy hitter at the plate, really battles in counts and finds a way to consistently barrel up. High hand set, quiet relaxed stride, direct bat path to the ball and uses his lanky frame to extend through getting some loft to the ball. Tall medium frame with room to grow and add strength

Diaz shows a lot of poise and maturity on the mound. Short arm action with athletic actions on the mound. Works a darting FB with some late run to it in the low 80’s on the corners of the zone... has been up to 85mph. Effectively uses every portion of the plate showing plus command. Slower windup but quickly accelerates down the mound throwing off hitters timings. Mixes in a harder sidespin slider that has some cutter action to it at times, to keep hitters honest, more of a feel pitch currently.

Video: https://twitter.com/psbaseballinc/status/1215770835342053376?s=21

Dalvin Collado 2021 RHP (Lake Mary)

Works his FB 82-85 T:86 with AA command working the corners of a plate. Rapf is an under the radar guy who has really impressed me at SS this spring.. You can tell he has feel for the position, clean hands, moves well to the ball with an accurate arm across the diamond.. Rapf can definitely add some strength to the profile but has the hand/eye to be an impact player at the next level.. At the plate, Rapf swings it from the left side, has shown the ability to barrel the ball to all fields, backside approach at this time.

Video: https://twitter.com/Brando_PS/status/1365471879167901696

February 23, 2021

Christian Rodriguez 2023 OF/RHP (Stoneman Douglas)

Big time two-way prospect from Coral Springs, FL.. Rodriguez put on a show last week against perennial power, American Heritage (Plantation) carrying a no hitter into the 5th inning. Rodriguez was very poised and had all pitches clicking.. FB sat 90-92 T93 with a hard, wipeout SL that is a put-away pitch for him.. Rodriguez has a clean, athletic delivery with elite AA that works downhill and gets on hitters quick... Rodriguez is one of the top two-way players in the ‘23 class and should not be unsigned much longer.

Isaiah Barkett 2022 UTIL (Oviedo HS)

Barkett is truly the jack of all trades.. Have seen Barkett multiple times and each time he continues to raise his stock.. A bit of an unorthodox approach at the plate but the kid can flat out hit. Big time competitor with plus hand/eye coordination, very competitive AB each and every time he is at the plate. Defensively, Barkett is serviceable in the INF and OF. Quick first step, moves well laterally in the INF and moves attacks the ball in the OF. Super utility guy with a lot to offer to a program in the future.

Shawn Rapf 2022 MIF (Palm Beach Gardens)

Rapf is an under the radar guy who has really impressed me at SS this spring.. You can tell he has feel for the position, clean hands, moves well to the ball with an accurate arm across the diamond.. Rapf can definitely add some strength to the profile but has the hand/eye to be an impact player at the next level.. At the plate, Rapf swings it from the left side, has shown the ability to barrel the ball to all fields, backside approach at this time.

At the plate, Baez has an easy swing, stays on the backside well, lets the ball travel and uses his AA hand/eye to find barrel to all fields.
